Raw clays and minerals, unfired. Forty unfired spheres made from different unprocessed clays. This installation is intended to bring viewers into the moment of first discovering the properties of a new found material. Variations in color, texture, stone impurities, and organic matter are brought out by carefully washing and paddling the spheres multiple times through the drying process.
