Digital layering as a creative practice involves some breaking apart or corrupting of source material, like leaves or the fruits of culture becoming detritus on a forest floor. This mess and material has become a menu of options and essential creative threads for me. What do we do with all this source material, influence and knowledge before it rots? We mix it around and plant something new in it.
